Create your free TMDB key

TMDB (The Movie Database) is a community database of movies and series. With a free key, TOS gets platform releases, ratings, posters, cast, similar titles and new episode dates from it.

Get the key

1. Create a free account on themoviedb.org and confirm your email.
2. Open Account settings › API and request a key (personal use).
3. Copy the API key (v3).

Add it to TOS

In the first-launch wizard (Enter your TMDB key step) or in Settings › TMDB, paste the key. Tip: use the smartphone remote to paste it from your phone.

Without a key, playing your playlists, the remote and parental controls work normally.
