What is an IPTV player for Android TV?
An IPTV player is an app that plays the list of channels, movies and series provided by your IPTV subscription. On Android TV it replaces the set-top box: you add your M3U link or your Xtream Codes login, and the app loads the channels, the programme guide (EPG) and on-demand video.
TOS is a player: it does not provide any channels. Only use playlists you are legally entitled to.
What TOS does beyond a basic player
- Organisation: hide, sort and group channels; one entry per channel for its SD, HD, FHD and 4K versions.
- Sport: the Sports page lists today's, tomorrow's and the weekend's games, with the channels of your playlist that broadcast them. One click starts the game.
- Multi-view: 2 or 4 channels at once, depending on the TV's power and the connections your subscription allows.
- Releases: new titles from Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ and other platforms, marked "In my list" when your playlist has them.
- Home screen: TOS can replace the TV's home screen, if the TV allows it, with your apps and HDMI inputs.
- Phone: smartphone remote and keyboard, handy for searching.
Works with your Android TV device
TOS runs on Android TV and Google TV sets (Sony, TCL, Philips, Hisense…), the Google TV Streamer, Chromecast with Google TV, Nvidia Shield, Android boxes, and Android phones and tablets.
